Eco Ground Solutions (EGS) Groundworks
We helped Eco Ground Solutions, a new Bromsgrove groundworks contractor, launch a website built to be found on Google and in AI search, with a clear low-carbon story for the principal contractors they want to win.
The Brief
Eco Ground Solutions is a groundworks contractor in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, working across the West Midlands. They deliver drainage, kerbing, car parks, footpaths and complete groundworks packages. Their low-carbon approach helps principal contractors improve their sustainability scores when bidding for council and public-sector work. The name is new, but the team behind it brings around 20 years of experience.
When they came to Smart Tribe Digital, work was coming in through referrals, but the business was hard to find online. Prospects were asking for a website, but there was nothing for them to find on Google or in AI search.
Their main goals were:
- A professional website that shows up on Google and in AI search
- A clear way to explain their low-carbon approach to principal contractors
- Proof that they deliver on programme, with real projects to show
- A simple way for contractors and homeowners to ask for a quote
What we delivered
Website Design + Build
We designed and built a new WordPress website on a new domain, ecogroundsolutions.co.uk. It is built around the two things principal contractors care about most: lower-carbon groundworks and finishing on programme.
The home page explains the red, amber and green footprint scores contractors are judged on, and how Eco Ground Solutions helps move a package up the scale. A Low Carbon page sets out their 10-year plan and the practical steps they take on every job.
A Commercial page speaks to main contractors directly, covering site-specific RAMS, waste records and three ways to price a job. The site includes:
- A page for each of their 9 services, from drainage and kerbing to car parks and retaining walls
- Project pages showing the client, location, service and a photo gallery for each job
- A quote form that takes drawings and tender documents, with spam protection built in
- Click-to-call, email and WhatsApp on every page
- A custom loading animation where the logo’s hexagon draws itself and an excavator digs
- Their old web address forwarding to the new site, so existing links still work
The result: a new name that looks as established online as the experience behind it, with its low-carbon approach set out clearly for the contractors it wants to win.
Local SEO + Google Business Profile
We built search into the site from day one, so Google and AI search tools can tell who Eco Ground Solutions are, what they do and where they work:
- A dedicated page for each service, each with its own search title and description
- Their service area set out clearly, from Bromsgrove and Birmingham to Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands
- Structured data for the business and its FAQ answers, so search engines and AI tools can read them
- Two launch articles answering contractor questions, on car park groundworks that finish on programme and on helping main contractors hit sustainability targets
- Google Analytics and Search Console connected, so enquiries and rankings are tracked from launch
We also optimised their Google Business Profile to match the website.
The result: a site that search engines and AI tools can read from launch, with tracking in place to measure what it brings in.
